Finally got a picture of my new bike.

Although I got my bike in late August and have posted comments on here to a few posts, I never got around to posting a picture of my bike (wasn't finished farkling, well maybe). I still need to add a profile picture though. I've added Rox risers, X-screen (works great), attitude bars, Baker rack (great design), top box from my C14, lower A arm lights (amber), amber lights in the spot light location, 2" spots (white) on the fenders, dedicated fuse box to power everything, black reflective tape to the rear of the cases, and a reflective stripe down the side. Having fun and taking rides with the wife. Life is good, working sucks..... 4 more years. Such is life.

Looks good. My first thought after seeing your reflective tape down the sides in the front were of my ZX14. The fins along the side reminded me of the fins at the front of the F3. Nice looking bike, enjoy.

Very Nice....

Awesome looking ryde...:2thumbs: it has been dewly noted that you are truely a spyder owner.....:roflblack:

Looks great! Do you have any more details on how you did the top box? We need more alternatives to the BRP money box!

The top box that I have is from JC Whitney which I bought about 5 years ago for around $100.00 and comes with the mounting plate, Givi type. It is the large version and can hold 2 small helmets. They're all over Amazon. Has worked well for me all these years. I didn't want to part with it because it has all my rally stickers on it. I have the Baker rack and it was easy to mount. The antenna has a spring base to it so it bends over about 10 degrees and has not been an issue as it just rests against the side of the box. The box is actually taller than the antenna. I also bought an 18" led strip from Autozone for less than $20.00 and installed lights all around the perimeter. Use white LED's behind the red plastic band. The case came with a fugly orange band around the sides which I painted black. :yikes:I'm not cheap, just frugal and I like to tinker.

Top Box

Really like the top Box.
The stripes and mounting are very professional.
DIY is the best way to personalize farkles.
Great job.
Cheers, David C.

Some more info on my new bike.

I took more pictures of my bike to share with others a few things that I have done. I improved my ability to see the turn signals in the dash during daytime by adding a shield to the center of the dash as shown in the picture. Cheap, made from plastic corrugated sign material, painted and attached with silicone adhesive, ~$15.00. Sticks out about 3” from the top. It can be taken off without marring the dash if need be. Big improvement. The black reflective material I added to the rear of the bags is shown in normal light and with the camera flash on (reflects light with headlights on it). The lights in the center under the top box are the Hyper-lights units which flash for 10 seconds with the brakes and are also running lights, very bright. I took these pictures in the evening. Very effective at night so they can see you as they approach. The front picture I took this morning showing all my forward lights on. I retained several of these things from my 2012 C14 (still for sale) to use on this bike plus I had 5 months’ field service overseas to search the internet for ideas. BTW, all of my lights are powered by a dedicated fuse box straight from the battery through a relay which is powered by the switched aux output under the LH cover. This way I bypass CanBus issues.

Here’s the link for the black reflective tape. One package does both sides. Make paper /cardboard templates to cutout shape.

Here’s the link for the amber LED lights in the spotlight location, embarrassingly cheap but very bright. Get the mounting rings as well. I just cut 2” diameter holes in the existing covers and silicone the back side to hold them in. They come with connectors.

Here’s the lower A-arm lights that I installed. Very dense LED packaging.

Here’s the link to the newer version of the top box I have, same size, 47L. They come with the mounting base to bolt to your rack.

Lastly, here are the Hyper-Lights that I mounted under the top box. I have the 8 LED brake/running light unit. Very easy to tap into the wires. No effect to the CanBus.

Thanks for the support and comments. Farkling is fun when I can come up with inexpensive solutions and alternatives for what I have in mind. BTW, I discovered that the dealer over filled my oil when I bought it. I have about 1800 miles on it now and was hot rodding it over the weekend. Discovered that it will lay about 25 feet of rubber if you start on a road stripe or cross walk stripe. After winding out 1st I started smelling burnt oil. Sure enough, it was leaking down the oil fill tube. I had checked it before per the recommended instructions and it looked OK but had not pushed it this hard before. Question, is it bad to leave it this way until my 3k service or should I suck some out?

I am thinking about adding the Rox Risers instead of getting the short reach bars from BRP.

What size risers did you go with? I am debating 3" or 4"

Were these difficult to install?

Thanks in advance.
