• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

finally a shock - solution ???

I know that this has been possibly a previous discussion, but, recent experience brings it up for me.
Have been wanting to lower the Spyder for about two years now and finally got it done. Two weekends ago, I lowered the bottom shock mount 45mm from the stock position. Comparing it with a friend's Spyder, it came out to about 3" lower at the tail lights. Perfect! Was just what I was looking for.

Long story short, I spent about an hour, with the Kricket II, getting the belt tension and tracking just right. I have seen the air suspension kits and now looking at this thread for the Sweedish concept, how do you maintain correct belt tension with an adjustable ride height, and for some of our "larger" riders and especially passengers, what is that lower ride height doing to drive belts and wheel bearings? I have a friend that rides two up and he lost the hub bearing and the hub had to be replaced about two months ago. Spyder has about 18000 miles on it. They always ride together and it sits pretty "low". I ride behind them alot and get a first hand view. Has scared the crap out of me a few times!

O.K., I'm done,

Carl
