• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You have seen a few posts from me recently asking questions about the Spyders. I received all good input and insight, about the Spyders, the apparel, the features, and additions. I would like to thank all of those who replied to my posts.

My 2009 Harley Road Glide CVO is back in the hands of my Harley dealer. And this 2012 Spyder RT SE5 is now in my hands.:yes::yes:

It was 19º in the Chicago suburbs today when I took it for a test ride. I had my snowmobile gear on, and actually was quite comfortable for the 10+ mile ride. I look forward to warmer weather to really check it out. It has a Two Brothers Racing muffler, which really sounds great, and a TBR Juice Box for fuel management, and a couple of other minor add on's....brake pedal, hwy pegs, etc. As part of the deal, Harley will be taking it to the local Can Am dealer, Jim Pott's in Woodstock, IL for a Laser Alignment (Rolo) on my request. Harley will store it for me until the weather breaks.....hoping for sooner rather than later. Photo's:

Congratulations

Welcome to the wonderful world of Spyders!! I traded my 2009 Harley Heritage Softail for a 2013 Spyder RT-Limited a year ago next week. I had no problems with it, but I liked the new changes for the 2014 model, so I traded my 2013 for a 2014 RT-Limited on Dec. 24th 2013. It is great and I look forward to lots of miles of smiles on the 2014.

Again, congratulations and welcome to a very fun group.

midnightbreeze50 here Congrats on the new ride ,LOOKING GOOD ,I have 1 suggestion , Driver floorboards , your decision, still LOOKING GOOD !!!!!

Do you know if it has an extended warranty?

check the original delivery date and if you are still under factory warranty (2 years, unlimited mileage) and the Spyder did not have an extended warranty (the warranty transfers to new owner) you are eligible to get a 1,2 or 3 year extended warranty which is in my opinion a smart move. The BRP dealer can pull up your VIN and tell you if that Spyder has an extended warranty.

Congrats!

:congrats: on your 2012 Spyder. I really enjoyed ours that gave us 7650 miles of trouble free rydin' in 2013 when we bought it new.

Have a great year on your ryde! :2thumbs:

Have fun with your new Ryde!!!

As Bob said translated "let the good times roll"!! Hopefully this nasty brutal Midwest/Great Lakes winter will give up and go away soon.
