• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Filters for All!~

As you may or may not know. No one makes the newer transmission filter for the Spyder. I was working with one aftermarket manufacturer that actually designed and proto-typed the newer filter, but decided not to go into production. No other aftermarket manufacturer has decided to make that filter so I have not been carrying it.

Since I sell all the other filters (including seal kits) and oil. I know it's quite inconvenient to get everything but the SE5 trans filter from me and then have to go elsewhere for that one item to do an oil change.

So, I have begun stocking the OEM BRP transmission filter. I will be updating my filter price listing page (linked to my Banner Ad on the 'Home' page here at Spyderlovers).

It will be so good to finally say 'Yes!' when people ask if I have the new transmission filters for the SE5 Spyder.

Good to know now I can bypass the dealer for my next oil change and use Castrol RS 4T. Going to make a package deal?

That sounds good Ron. Are you going to be at Spyderfest or have a booth there as having Amsoil and filters, plug wires etc. sent to Canada can be a problem.

I am not going to have a booth at Spyderfest. But if you want wires, plugs, filters, oil, etc., to take back with you let me know. I can get it to Spyderfest for you.

I plan to be there, just not as a 'Vendor'. I always bring a little of this and that just in-case. But if someone wants something specific they need to let me know.

I have not "converted over" to the new sized filter. That's why my lastest order for the orginal size filters. So no big deal that I have change my oil and filters more often.

BRP was giving away free housings to fit the new size filters, with a filter purchase.......I don't know if they still are , you may want to check with your dealer......Good Luck, Mike

Personally, I do not think you have to change your filters more often with aftermarket filters (depending on the oil you're using). The longer transmission filter's primary purpose is to flow more oil than the original, shorter filter. But the aftermarket filters flowed 18% more oil than the original BRP filters and no one to my knowledge has ever had a problem with them.
