• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Fender Brace Breakings???

So far I've had four front fender braces break on my RTs. Wondering if this is due to hard use by customers or are others experiencing this??? The only thing I can think of is stress from hitting bumps, cracks, pot holes and maybe on/off the side of the roads causing the extra stress. But always breaking in the same place... lower part.

Anyone else have this going on?

I haven't seen anything . . . what year and how many miles?

We have a 2012 RT-Limited with 13,000 miles and lots of them ridden hard in the hills of Tennessee with nary a broken brace.

Let's see..!!

Have not heard other than yours. There may be others but not common. If you are on a lot of rough roads this could be the problem. Still seems strange. Both sides, one side, do you have other steering issues like bearings ball joints etc..??...:dontknow:

No, no other steering issues... both sides, front and back braces. Can't figure out why. Broke when mileage in the 30 and 40k areas. 2011 models..... just wanted to see if many other were having this issue.

Been there done that.....I live in Vermont and some of the " Gravel " roads have lots of wash-board (lots of small bumps similar to a washboard)....really plays havoc with front end.......I had to weld supports onto both struts of both fenders......There was no rust inside they just fatigue broke.......Then I come to realize that my front SHOCKS had cr*ped out and really weren't doing their job and MAYBE this is what precipated the failure......I only had about 16,000 miles on them ...This was all posted quite awhile ago .....It 's in the archieves somewhere........PS mine broke right at the BASE near the HUB (?)......good luck.....Mike

The GS/RS bikes have had problems with the rear fender braces; this is the first that I've heard of the fronts breaking that often...

I just show how much you're having fun.:roflblack::roflblack: But seriously check your bracket mounts for proper installation.
