Let me say this.... I purchased in Feb this year a 2012 RT Limited. A Newbie to the Can-Am. Second week I had it my wife and I headed west on Bell out of town.About 30 min out it was dark so we decided to head back. From no where came the Orange Limp mode display. I thought Holy Crap now what. I mean we are out there with the wild burros and dead people with not a soul in sight. My wife is freaking out and I couldn't blame her. I made it back to town and into the garage. Put the charger on it. Next day it was ok... I thought. Was also getting this wierd sound like gears trying to mesh but not quite getting there. Went to the dealership and told them what happened. Scott was the service guy ( no longer works there) and kind of blew me off.So time went on and had this bike for about 6 months. Then came the incident that happened described above. The more I thought about everything the madder I got. The manager at the time sold me this bike ( cash mind you) and as far as I could see it wasn't safe.My wife and I could have very easily lost our life out there in the middle of the desert because of a faulty battery. When I hit the dealership I was really hot. I complained to everyone. Then I found out that the management had changed hands. Everyone from the manager that ran the place on down was doing everything they could to make me happy. The noise turned out to be the air pump... nothing bad but eventually it will fail. Won't hurt the bike just lose the auto soft tail. Maybe it's just me but I don't think so, as far as I'm concerned this was a potentail life threatening incident. I payed $19000 and expected a reliable vehicle. I am saying all this to maybe help someone else out so they don't have to go through this. If you buy used , make sure it's certified. I don't mean a piece of paper saying you have a 30 or 60 day warranty. It won't do you any good if your out in the desert as we were. To make it right .. the management in their now are great. Tony,Tache,Keith the mechanic and the new boss.... thumbs up.Hmmm. Good to know the surprise Ridenow may have improved.
