• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Feedback on Power Commander V And Auto Tune

I have a 2009 Spyder RS SM5 with hindle exhaust and a KN air filter. I would like to know does the Power Commander V (25-004) increase performance and by how much. And should i get the Autotune and which one, single channel (AT-200) or dual channel (AT-300). At some later date i would like to fabricate true dual exhaust. I am a hotrodder at heart and i can never get enough horsepower. Also my girlfriend has a 2009 RS SM5 with Hindle and we like to ride hard, but safe. Thank-you for any input, Tom n Carol Staten Island, N.Y.

Would highly recommend the PCV with auto tune. Has greatly helped the performance of my 09 SM5. Unfortunately, I cant really say by how much it increased performance numbers wise but it was VERY noticeable. I have no experience with the dual channel but if you do plan on doing a true dual exhaust it would definitely be something to look into.

I just installed the PCV and AutoTune (AT-300) on my RT. This thread covers it and the installation starts on Page 8.

I had a PCV on my previous motorcycle (Honda VFR800). It definitely increased performance as it totally cleaned up the FI across the board. The VFR was lean from the factory where it was choppy and at constant speeds between 25-35 MPH, the throttle would lock and often go into a bucking type of scenario (on throttle / off throttle). It was a known fact for VFR owners that the PCV was the solution for the problem and it made a world of difference.

On the Spyder, I installed the AutoTune AT-300 because twin engines are known for the rear cylinder to run leaner than the front (especially on air cooled bikes). I don't know if that is the case with mine, but for the extra $75, I like the idea of a map being adjusted on the fly for EACH cylinder. You can't get any more optimal than that.

I don't know how much HP is gained, but what is gained is perfect fueling across the entire RPM range.
