• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Feathering the throttle?

While riding yesterday, I came to a roundabout. Had a hard time going slowly around the circle--either got no throttle or too much. First gear about 10-15 mph. Any thoughts?

It'll be interesting when the answers start coming in. I can't speak to the SE but this seems like a good case for the SM. Easy to feather the clutch and go as slow as you want.

Curious as well. Since you don't have a clutch to feather on the SE, how do you creep along, ride the brakes? :lecturef_smilie:

I'm kinda stumped I have have owned 2 SE5's and have never given it much thought about driving slow. I just do it and never have had a problem, in a roundabout or anywhere else. It is obviously a lot easier to drive slow without a clutch to think about. It should be no problem driving at a steady speed 10 to 15 mph. Now if you said 2 or 3 maybe.
Well that does it I am going to have go out for a drive and see how I do it. As if I need an excuse!

You have to be careful in turning sharply left as in a decreasing radius turn or a roundabout to not put pressure on the right grip and rotating the throttle. Try pulling on the left and slightly pushing on the right for right turns and the opposite for left.

10 or 15 mph; no problem!
As much as I hate to say it  ; relax and don't try to over-control the bike...
