• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Up until a couple of months ago, I've been in reasonably good health. I started having shooting pains down the back of both legs. It turns out I
have Arthritis in my lumbar spine. It really gets your attention! You wake up stiff as a board and it feels like lightning bolts in your legs. I don't want to become addicted to pain medication. I read where others on here are dealing with arthritis too. In any event, I am blessed otherwise.

My RT is temporarily on hold. Life takes priority over toys.

Arthritis is tough; I deal with it too and I'm a young one. Keep exercising and moving, watch your weight, and talk with your doctor about possible supplements and other remedies. Keep up the faith brother.

Maybe there is a new trick for an old dog that will help you to deal with the arthritis and still be able to ride. I hope you find something that makes riding possible for you again. Good luck.

I have had arthritis for 50 years, and it can take some real resolve to live with it, especially in the advanced stages. Nancy and I both cope with ours as best we can. On the other hand, with Arthur along, you are never alone. ;) It can be fierce, at times. It pays to remain as active as you can tolerate. My father had it in his spine bad enough to disable him, so I sympathize greatly. I hope you find a treatment and exercise regimen that will work for you. Hopefully, this is but a speed bump in your quest for a Spyder. Hang in there...you are not alone.

I'm doing physical therapy. Some of the exercises call for me to flex my stomach muscles and march while lying on my back. :roflblack: It's hilarious to watch. The medication only masks the pain. I told the therapist that I'd have a six pack in a couple of weeks.:roflblack: I don't want to sound childish, but I'm wanting a Spyder so bad I can taste it. I have to deal with these personal issues first. Maybe within the next couple of years if you guys can put up with me that long.:D I was active in the Sabre Group for a number of years. I had a 2002 Honda Shadow Sabre VT1100 (see album). I rode through the Smokies on it, and have ridden through Hocking Hills area alot. (Ohio Spyders)

Hang in there Cuz. I have it too. 40+ years of mechanic work (and still at it) makes for wear on the old body. I don't do drugs either. I do have a very good chiropractor that has done a wonderful job of making it bearable. Stretching exercises work well to.

I know what you mean when you say old dog. Worked as a millwright for many years. A lot of bull work. It does take its toll though. Hang in there. Like everybody said exercise as much as possible. Stay off the drugs if you can. Had my left knee replaced. TWICE. Then when everything seemed like it was over, I had a stroke in my right eye. The medicine I was given caused it. :gaah: If anyone had a hip or knee replaced and you had to have it done over, find your self a good lawyer. there was many complaints over this. I found a lawyer from Phila who handles this kind of claim. But just as soon as this weather ever WARMS up, we will be ON THE ROAD AGAIN.
