• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

faster spyder?

A combination of shifting and turning the throttle all the way open.....

:roflblack:

Ok... there's my smartass remark for the day... Enjoy!

Oh.. And turning your parking brake off would be a good start... :D

OK I will be serious. 3 things I would do, exhaust, air filter, and PowercommanderV with Autotune. I have done more but this was the best bang for the buck. I had the Juice Box Pro but does not compare to PowercommanderV. If you do this get with me and I will give you my map to try. There will be as many opinions as there are members so do your research and pick and choose. You could always go turbo like others...............maybe me some day.....................

Remember when you want to race another bike just don't tell them your racing them.[you'll win every time]
Then people watching will think you got a fast Trike.:roflblack:

115 mph isnt enough?

I guess I am a wimp when it comes to this stuff. There are lots of people out there who know how to make :spyder2: fast--they will come.

Loose weight! The bike not the rider, though that would help also. In the old days after a free flowing exhaust and air intake were set up the hack saw blades came out and everything that could be removed was unscrewed, unfastened or cut of. Hence the origin of the Chopper.

On the Spyder though I think we need most of the heavy parts! If you have external bags or top case remove them, rear fender and struts, windshield, get lighter wheels, etc. all in all it's a pointless exercise as the RS Spyder will never be a two wheeled sport bike but the best three wheel sport bike!

Also get rid of the air box and get the KewlMetal Performance air filter kit, Bajron spark wires, spark plugs, vent filter, and oil filter kit (to change over to Amsoil). You can find all these vendors on this web site. Next take off the windshield, sit low, and twist the throttle. That's IMHO.

This is a very slippery slope that you're wanting to tackle...
More often than not you end up spending cubic dollars for fleeting satisfaction... :gaah:
But opening up the breathing and exhaust will help! Engines are nothing more than loud air pumps... The more air you can force throuh it, the more horsepower it's making!

Speed costs money--How much do you want to spend?

You can go as fast as you want if you spend enough. Never seen one with a jet engine yet though!

is there a difference between green filter and k&n filter? also is o2 mod same as powercommander?
The Dynojet Powercommander also comes with an o2 mod. The powercommander takes care of the open loop portion of the fuel curve and the o2 mod takes care of the closed loop portion, both can be custom maped but in different ways. The Autotune will make the open loop exactly how you want it no matter what you change or the conditions. The o2 mod is set at 13.6:1 and can be changed by percentage up or down. The bottom line is it makes the power curve so liquid smooth it feels like you have gained more than you really do but you will gain. The honest truth is you will spend a lot for a little as mentioned before but some of us can`t help our selves. :opps:

Just incase anyone is wondering, for the most part I run my autotune at 13.0:1

actually, taking off the windshield can create more drag as your body might not be as aerodynamic as a good shield...

What ifyou go on a diet and shed forty pounds or so??
(Note to self: Catching the flu is easliy worth a 20 pound reduction!:barf:)

If you really want to get serious about performance, and have cubic cash on hand, there's an outfit in Europe that has a 1200 cc stroker kit for the Rotax. Combine that with a big bore kit, and you'll be close to 1300 cc. Not real sure of engine longevity at that size, though.
