• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

FAST START FOR 15'S

in another thread it was mentioned about the fast start procedure for all 15 and up
spyders. tried it. doesnt work. mine was built in june 15. at least 1 other mentioned
his dint start either. mine will restart right away before 5 minutes have past. any
others not working this way or did i not do it right? not bitching . im used to the ways of the
:spyder2:'s by now.--irv toms

I have had many 2015s in my shop that the owner did not think would fast start. They all did when I showed them how.

Turn on ignition, step on brake pedal, release parking brake. Wait for gauge sweep to complete. Press Mode and release then press start. Bike should be in Neutral when shutting down.

This is the "Fast Start" some have been referencing? ;)

That's the routine I go through every time I mount the F3S. :thumbup:

My F3S is Apr 2015 and it DOES fast start.

I use a similar procedure as described by jcthorne above. Foot on brake, turn key, hit mode, press start. Works regardless of parking brake or gear. This is on a cold start of coarse and it starts it as fast as I can push the buttons... 5 seconds or less.

My wife's May 2015 RTS does not fast start.
 
you SHOULD be bitchin'. We deserve to.
especially when you learn the only part that is different between a lethargic start, like a 14, and a so call "rapid" start 16,
is the instrument cluster.

The ecu, and ALL the other "stuff" on a 16 is the same, just the cluster. Which THANKFULLY, has a unique weather tite fitting,
that will not interchange with a 14

Please...don't talk about all the "sophisticated" features of the SPyder. Ford Fiesta has ALL of it, and STILL starts when you turn the key.

:agree: all the GS,RS,RSS not sure about the ST, started much faster than the RT and still do. The only one faster is the police version...:thumbup:

That is the fast start what all do you do for regular start ,my old rs is just double finger pull left hand mode and start
