• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fast flash unresolved

We have a 2014 RT Ltd to which I have added a few of TriceLEDs LED lighting accessories. Included in these are the added turn signals in the vertical strips in the rear of the saddlebags and the daytime running LEDs mounted on the front edge of the upped and lower front suspension arms. With these particular additions I got the fast flash in the turn signals.

So I watched the video done by Lamonster to reset/reprogram the flash rate for the turn signals. Initially it seemed to fix the problem. Don't know exactly how long it lasted but very shortly thereafter the fast flash was back. So I ran through the process again. Again it seemed good but, alas, fast flash returned.

I have run through the process at least 6 times over the las few months but it just will not hold. Any ideas?

Help me resolve the fast flash problem.

Involves both left and right

Both left and right sides are affected. Every time I redo the rest procedure and rewatch the video. Plan to try it once again later this morning.

I just installed the "a" arm LEDs as well, haven't tried to get the fast flash out yet, as I have another to install first, but, I did not like the "bullet" plugs they supply, and soldered the connection between the flasher and the harness. That connection may be your problem.

Question: does it go back to hyper flash after a ride, or if it left sitting? if it's a ride, i would suggest it is definitely a wiring connection

Other added LEDs

The high brake bar (on rear trunk lid), third and fourth brake strips, side saddlebag lights, front fender reflector replacements, the front 2 inch spot lights. I think that is all.

Good point, not sure. Will pay better attention.

I used a dielectric gel with all of the connections, as I generally do with all of my electrical hook ups. Thought this would help to maintain a consistent connection.

 Those saddlebag LEDs are my next project...
The Farkles DO keep our lives fun; don't they? :D

Good luck!

Not sure...

There is the polarity issue with the led lights. I don't use them but know some that do and had issues when they did not have all the lights hooked up the same porlarity. Small wires and easy to get one off...:dontknow:

TricLEDs kits and instructions were very good so I don't think that may be the issue. But now that you say that I will pull out the instructions and reviews my connections.

Do the reset withe the engine running. Doesn't make any sense but it worked for me. Look for a thread on here "intermittent hyper flash"

If the lights work I doubt its a polarity issue. If the polarity was wrong I would doubt light would come on at all. Sounds more like a loose/intermittent connection and I've had that issue before. I try to solder all connection now or when going back to fix. Try this reset per Reggy @ Tricled...

Turn the bike on
hold down the flasher for 45 seconds
turn off the flasher and hit the left turn signal and after it blinks once turn off the bike.
Repeat for other side

Resolved. Having three engine running was the trick. Now to keep an eye on it three next chance I have to ride it.

I have not used but my friends replace the flasher;

I never did like hacking into a harness, On my RT-L I bought the Tricled OEM connectors and wired all the LED's to them and just plugged them inline and never had an issue with flash rate.

Confirmed... resolved

After multiple rides, a total of about 300+ miles and many turns, all has remained steady. No more hyper flash!
