• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For those that know me you know I'm not that smart. I'm just trying to increase my knowledge.
Where did the word Farkle come from?
I looked it up and I found it to mean a dice game.
How does that relate to making the bike look better?
Stefan

From the Urban Dictionary:

farkle: accessory.

The word is generally accepted to mean a combination of "function" and "sparkle", hence, farkle.

Motorcycle enthusiasts may install accessories, called farkles (also spelled farkel), to customize their machine.

One source attributes the term to Pete Wells, the organizer of a 1997 Honda ST1100 rally

The term is well known in the sport touring community.

An enthusiast may be in the process of "farkling". The completed motorcycle would be all "farkled up". Radar detectors, Global Positioning System receivers, heated grips, and satellite radios are some of those farkles. Other accessories could be aftermarket seats, side and/or top cases or bar risers, which make the motorcycle more suitable for long miles.

There you go...!!

Most have you covered on your question about farkle.

Most here use it to refer to another accessory to add to the :spyder2:.

If you are adding more than one item, then you are farkeling.

If you take it to the nth degree, you probably have farkleosis.

I don't know if you made that up but I believe it
And Bob we all know you have a Farkle addiction

Thank goodness I finally stopped adding farkles before I got farkleosis, or was it because I couldn't find any more farkles to add? :dontknow::roflblack:
