• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fan override switch ????

I saw mention of a fan override switch in one of the threads about trouble codes and batteries running down. I haven't visited this forum much lately and I haven't heard about this switch before.

Is this something already on the Spyders that I was unaware of, or is this a switch people are adding to their Spyders to disable the fan?

It's not to disable the fan but to enable a rider to turn on the fan whenever they want.
:agree:Best and easiest mod I ever did - I like easy.
O'K maybe not the best: The fog lights were the most complicated mod that I have done so far - and I like complicated.

NMN mudflap LED's super safety mod - I like safety.

Handlebar risers provided comfort - I like comfort

OK I'll stop for now.

Make sure you connect to a hot through the key switch. I didn't and turned the bike off. When I got back my batty was dead.:gaah:

As it shows in the pictures, I ran my power to the fan through a switched auxiliary fuse box to avoid that problem.
