• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Do you think that they're dumping fuel on the market at "Going Out Of Business" prices; in order to make the alternative fuels industry... "go out of business"? :dontknow:

I was reading last week about all of the layoffs in Dakota fields.:dontknow:

1966 .28 cents a gallon with steak knives, green stamps, cleaned windshield
and a thank you

That is the same as $2.18 today. Today's gasoline is near record all time lows.
When you factor in that gas mileage is now around 30 mpg vs about 16 mpg back in 1965 the net cost for gas is about $1.10 today. Factoring for inflation that is about the 15 cents in 1966 dollars, or about half. So in the end we are paying about 1/2 as much for gasoline today as we did in 1966! :clap:At any price below about $4.00 per gallon we are spending less for gas today than we did 50 years ago.

My theory. It's all a well executed plan. Make crude prices so low that the US producer's go under. Lift sanctions to unscrupulous nations that will put the final nail in US being self sufficient. Result. Oh douche, cough bag, cripples this country beyond repair.

The low prices are nice, but the big picture seems bad for many people. This does not include other industries that support the oil industry.

At some point maybe the power to be need to bring it all back to the US and actually fix what is broken. There are no doubts ways but no guts to do it.

Consider how much it will hurt for the 6 months to spool up the fuel industry if the price of gasoline rockets towards $5.00/ gallon. Everything is effected, local travel, far travel, package / food deliveries, it can be ugly fast. No doubt cutting into other hobbies including motorcycle sales and use.

the really big picture is if oil prices stay this low it will crush the russian economy & perhaps get putin removed......permanently.

Hey Wait a minute?

I hate to tell you this but i have never seen a "STILL" that was clean, most of them were very nasty dirty unsanitary places.

Cruzr Joe

You said you didn't know anything about it? Now you are talking like an expert on the relative cleanliness of stills! Could be a new career for you Joe "Still Inspector"!

Now that oil has reached $26 a barrel, our local gas station dropped their price by 3 cents a gallon. Now going for the paltry price of $2.30 a gallon. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
