Just got back from a great (but quick) Fall trip to the mountains in TN-NC-GA-SC. Left Chattanooga Monday am and headed for the Lamonster garage in East Tenn where I was able to get my RT alignment done by the Master! Turned out mine was not off much but now is perfect and rides like it too.
As planned, met up with another SpyderLover, Derk, at Lamonts who also had the alignment done on his RT. By mid-afternoon we were headed out to the mountains. Over the next 2 days we rode the "Rattler" 209 near Hot Springs NC (one of Lamonts favorites), on to Maggie Valley, then rode the Blue Ridge Pkwy to Cherokee, then we met up with PickleHead in Bryson City NC and rode Wayah Road (a great ryde known by only a few) across the mountain and into Franklin NC. After a nights rest, we headed up to Highlands NC and then down the southern section of MoonShiner 28 to Walhalla SC where we split up and headed for home. On the way home I rode Hwy 76 from Clayton Ga to Hiawassee & Blairsville Ga which turned out to have some of the best sweepers since the Cherohala.
The Fall leaf colors seem late in all these areas this year but look to be nearing peak now and were Spectacular everywhere we rode!
Overall, a really super trip with great company, fantastic scenery, and ryding as good as it gets!
Here's a few pics and link to the album....
