• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fall colors search & report

Greetings from the far side all.

I have been invited to ride up to Woodward OK. with a friend tomorrow. His sister lives there and says around their house has nice fall colors right now, but I'm wondering about any other places close by that might make for good photo-ops should I decide to tag along. Specifically wondering about areas south of Woodward as that would allow me to make a nice loop getting back home instead of repeating the outward bound route.

So, I checked the members list for OKIES and found 132; do any of y'all have first-hand, current knowledge of the area around Woodward and points south of there?

edit: OH! I'm also considering heading off in the other direction to Sugarrite State Park near Raton, NM. I went up there several years ago mid-October and got some really nice pictures. Since it seems the color changes are occurring a little in this are right now, I'm wondering about that area as well. Anyone with first-hand, current knowledge of the Raton area?

Make sure you check out the volcano in Raton. I have been there twice. Early in the morning--and there were herds of deer all over the caldera area. Quite a sight to see. Hiking trails take you down into the caldera.
