• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fall Spyder Ryde on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park

Appears noone thought my 1st Spyder Ryde video through Skyline Drive rendered @ 5X normal speed was interesting!?! What nonone ever wanted to drive 170+ MPH on a rolling twisty road before? LOL ;) My 2nd Skyline Drive video is a 10 minute video photoshow with awesome pictures of the "Spyder Twins", Skyline Drive scenery, and, of course, my lovely wife!! Of course, there are a few of me -- but you can ignore them! :doorag:

:lecturef_smilie: Nothing gets one ready for fall than an "Autumn Drive thru Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park!! :lecturef_smilie:

Well, the timing and the weather (Sandy was a mean girl) conspired against me to get any pictures. Good luck to all that entered and I will look over the lot and cast my vote tomorrow.

Just back from Asheville NC

Spent a week riding the Blue Ridge Parkway and assorted other blacktops around Asheville. Stopped by several fall festivals. This pic of the silver RT is from the street festival in Waynesville NC on October 20. Local Methodist church sponsored pumpkin sales at their "Pumpkin Patch." Took the pic when the tourist traffic eased up a bit. Lucked up and hit the peak of color change at 3500 feet and below. Higher elevations had mostly leafless trees.

Best regards,

Tomorrow is the last day, let's see if anyone can get a photo with fall foliage AND snow. Hurricane Sandy ought to have helped in the Appalachians.

Twin Spyders @ Shenandoah National Park

OK, Last posted shot for contest -- not an awesome fall colors shot, but love the rocks in the background and the lights in this shot! :doorag: Have I mentioned that we love our "Spyder Twins?" :D

So Judy wants a new sway bar also...so she took these this past Sunday also.

One that was overlooked, Judy's favorite one and is now my desktop background. Reminds me on these crappy days of the great ride we had that day.

Great photographs. All the elements are there. Exposure, composition and color balance. Good job, this is what photography is all about.

My guess is you didn't take these with a cell phone.
