• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I bought my RT-S June of last year. It's a 2011 modeling, that had 6 miles on it. I now have 4900 miles on it. I still think I made the right choice getting a Spyder. So far, the only mods I've done are Grip Buddies (awesome!) and BajaRon's sway bars (super awesome).

I'm hoping to make it out to SpyderFest this year, as I'd like to get a Two Brothers exhaust installed, and maybe a new seat.

Anybody else from NorCal going to SpyderFest?

I am going from SoCal, and hoping that spyderlover "redlightron" from Windsor CA. goes to Spyderfest. Guess I will need to PM him.

In looking at the map to Missouri. Even if your coming from NorCal you might likely pass through Barstow. Maybe we could all meet in Barstow and ride out from there together.

The last two times I have gone to SF I rode alone listening to XM radio. I got spoiled riding back from the Owners event with spyderlover Jerbear who had the same CB set up as I, and we were able to communicate. Do you have CB oheresy?

and now you have the RT622 going out so you will be packin:yes:
I am thinking of leaving either on Sat the 20th or Sun the 21st,for me it's a 21/2 day trip. But if I leave on Saturday I could make it a much more leisurely pace. Went to a travel show today in long beach and picked up a brochure on a cowboy museum in Oklahoma.

Havent planned that far ahead yet S. I can't remember what day I took off last year. I rode with Spydergirl and others from NorCal then joined the SD crew in Flagstaff. But Dave Mac found out its quicker and safer to come up the 15 thru Btown rather than go across the desert on the 8 to Yuma and Phoenix. He says he will be coming again this year.

Just registered for is fest tonight. This'll be my first spyderfest too. Still haven't secured my vacation days yet, so I'm not sure if I'm going to secure hotel yet or not. I probably should.

STaLKeRSFO, do you have CB on yours? I'm still deciding whether or not to get one installed. I'm not a huge CB fan, being a ham radio operator.

i'm hate CB.... If you have iPhone or any other smart phone you can install free apps "zello". And You can organize you personal voice chat (Ham radio style )over the mobile Internet... And use yours helmet BT.

Maybe I'll just go with blue tooth. Probably the cheaper way to go. What blue tooth do you have for your helmet?

We have a few people from our chapter going to SpyderFest this year. It's just too far for us to go again this year, we would have to take off at least 6 additional days of work to attend.... not enough vacation time.

We will, however, be going to Spyders in the Redwoods in Sonora, CA during the week of August 5 -8th. Registration is up and details can be had at www.spydersintheredwoods.com.

If you are ever looking for a group ride on the weekends, we do at least two a month. Our next ride is our monthly Ice Cream Social Ride on March 31st. We also have a ride leaving Benicia to Lake Berryessa on April 13th and our April Ice Cream Social on the 28th to Fenton's in Vacaville.

You can see our ride calendar at www.srasanfrancisco.com.

Travel safe and hope to see you around!
