• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Factory fog light removal

Hey folks, I just ordered the Day Runners, and I was wondering if someone could explain the process of removing the factory foglight kit. I would rather use those openings for air intake, and for me, 6 lights up front is too many. This is on a Phantom, so I never had the bike without the fogs in place. Is there any type of trim that I might be missing? Or will it look like the regular Spyders w/o the fogs? If I do need to get something, I want to order it now, and do it all at once.

Much thanks!

To install the fog lights you have to remove the original intake tubes. The fog light kit comes with the lights pre-installed in a different tube. If you want the factory originals I could send them to you if you pay the freight. I am in Alberta, Canda. Also when you get the fog light kit it comes with an additional harness that you have to insert into the original wiring harness for the headlights. I don't know if you can leave that fog light harness in & have the lights function properly or not. There should be 3 pics of the intakes attached.

Remove the trunk, install the original factory intake tubes, live the foglights wiring harness and the switch in place. If you want to sale the foglights, you need to replace the original wiring harness.

all you need to do is undo the side panels on each side of the lights- 3 plastice type 2 along the trunk[one under] 2 screws in side.Once done the lights are bolted to the side of trunk w/2 bolts and nuts that fit into slots on the trunk. you can check this link that lamonster did on the install http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5886&highlight=install
