• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BTW Scotty cool looking RT as your avatar. I assume its you on the bike. Is it true the red ones go faster or is it the blue ones? I trust your knowledge and experience on these important matters LOL.
:roflblack: Yes, it is me inside the helmet. Took delivery a coup[le of weeks ago. I can't comment on the speed, since I never rode (or raced against) a blue one. Didn't anyone tell you that, just like me, the RT is built for comfort, not speed? :roflblack:

Never thought to get so much attention.. Guys (generic), I was not advocating general use of facebook.. The only site I follow is Can Am Spyder. I was simply trying to make you aware that folks get help there, so that you could try if you had exhausted all other avenues:gaah:

Hey, it was a good thing to do! It made people aware of the service offered via Facebook, plus opened to door to discussion about the merits and our participation in the venue. I know I learned some things along the way, so I'm glad you opened the door.

:agree: I actually asked my wife to show me what things are like out there from her Facebook account perspective. Still not sure if I will create an account or not, but I am looking into it some more. :D

Created a Facebook Acct last Sept. Was asked to do so for my 40th HS Reunion. It has been a way to reconnect with many people I had not seen or heard from in 40 yrs. Also able to keep in contact with the family. I just find that you have to watch what you post. Depends on just how much you want the world to know about you.

Scotty -- I always appreciate your posts. Being that I was new to the motorcycle world when I bought my spyder (almost 3 yrs now) I really depend on your expertise and advise. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

by the way SpyderLovers is still the top sight - Facebook justs allows me to get highlight info in one spot.

So right Scotty-
It opened an interesting feet up discussion. I kind of took it off on a tangent. I actually post SpyderLovers thinks on my FB sometimes :) THIS community by FAR is the group I would want at my funeral:ohyea:

My wife has a facebook account. She is also on Weight Watchers and has started a very popular thread on that site for parents/care providers of special needs family members as well as a motorcycle riders thread. I'm not on FB because there are to many people looking for me. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::spyder:. By the way, our high school class has a very good web site where we are able to keep up with each other.
