• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. F6 Accessory wires (Sorry)

I know there was lots of talk early on about the whole spYder being wired for accessorys for individuals to install 12V receptacle or other electronics.. We (Thanks MoLee) found the F3 SWITCHED connectors but I am unable to locate the F6 Accessory NOT SWITCHED connectors.. Installed a 12V receptacle to the F3 SWITCHED and now want to install yet another 12V receptacle on the F6 not switched but just can not find the two wires,, Any Idea??

Finally I hated to post this cause I KNOW there was information on this a while back and did a search but unable to locate it.. Sorry for bothering you all with a problem that has been talked about over and over but again,, I just can't find the wires..

Thank you in advance.

The unswitched accessory harness should be tied to the center of the frame (or the steering) in the front. You may have to remove the trunk for access, although you might get at it with the access panels in the trunk removed, or by taking the Y-panel off.

As you have found, the switched harness is tucked into the left frame, near the shock mount. It may be tied to the shock support. Both circuits are designed for 3 amp fuses, so you can't use a big load on either.

Thank you very much, let me go do some digg'in around and I will keep you posted.. Again, Thank you very much..

Can't find it yet,, I have all the plastic off in the front right now, I'm thinking I haven't gone far enough, I took off the Y-Panel as well, looks as though I'm gonna have to do the trunk removal,,, I must say this, you can see pretty darn good with all the panels off so I thought for sure with good lighting and flash light I should be able to see it but no luck,, I will keep trying and when I find it I'm gonna take a good picture of it so others interested can possible find it a bit easier,,, I have search for pictures of the location but again, no luck.. Rainy and cold the next few days so I have some time..

This is the connector,,, MoLee--this is the same connector we messed with a little bit earlier today,,, Its a bit late to confirm this BUT again according to the attached threat with PIC this is it...It looks like I need to UNPLUG the white protective cover (well thats what I'm calling it) then it should be good to go, I will let you know a bit more tomorrow...

Just tested the plug, good to go Lee and Scotty,, thank you for the help guys. Its all gonna work out for sure now..

PS: Just gonna have to make sure the XM radio unit don't pull over 3 Amps, could be another whole new issue,, Crap...

You are probably going to be OK, as long as you don't have an external speaker type of unit. Something like the Sirius XM XMp3i player, charges through a mini USB connector, like a GPS, and they don't pull much juice.

Yah the system puts out 1.5 amps, I just ordered it, should be here by Friday, hopefully anyway.. Final question: Is it nessassary to install a inline fuze as well?? I'm thining NOT since its tied into the fuze box already, your thoughts please??

Thank you again..

I wouldn't think so, unless your device specifes a lower fuse rating. Even then, you could put a lower rated fuse in the fusebox.

Here is a link to a picture

I did the same search and there is a link to a picture in the responses. To be honest, the picture, though truly appreciated, didn't really help me that much. It was knowing the color of the wires that was the key for me. I did not have to remove much of anything to get at the wires once I opened the trunk. On my Spyder the wires were in the center just below the frunk latch. There was an end terminal on them which made the wires hard to see. I can't remember if I had to add a fuse to the fusebox to get them hot or not. Hope this helps.
