• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F4 vs Madstad windshield

Somehow we need to get some comparisons. Many of us decided against the BRP shield and plan to buy aftermarket. Any pros and cons before we have a direct compare? Are those Madstad brackets really as ugly as some have said? What are the benefits of the F4 if it isn't adjustable?

Who is this " we ", Kemosabe?

Somehow we need to get some comparisons.

The 20" Madstad shield & brackets I ordered is scheduled for delivery next Wednesday, the 6th.

If you want to order me an F4 to compare it to, PM me and I'll give you my address.

just installed 22inch Madstad on my 14 RS. Rode into work this morning @ 41 degrees. Felt at least ten degrees warmer than that; could run my heated jacket on half power rather than full power. Love it:yes::yes::yes: The brackets are not the most sleek looking thing you've seen, but they work as designed and function effortlessly. nojoke:clap::bowdown:

If I'm not mistaken, the Suzuki Vstrom was the very first bike madstad ever designed a windshield bracket for. I think that was how the company started because the Vstrom had a stock screen that was way to straight up and down and too far from the rider and produced awful buffeting. It didn't seem that any windshield could fix it until madstad came along and designed a bracket that allowed the windscreen to tip and move closer towards the rider. It was immediately a huge hit and I think the rest his history. I've pretty much been hooked on their brackets for the bikes they make it for.

If I had the opportunity, I would add the madstad bracket for adjustability and the F4 shield for their clarity and durability. F4 shields are tops when it comes to having a clear field of vision and you can clean them with being worried about scratching the hell out of it with something as simple as a paper towel

Waiting for the F4. Don hasn't rushed the windshield into production and the fact he's making brackets is a plus!
