F4 Customs Vs Canamspyderaccessories Windshield

Just got new F3 Ltd and looking for taller windshield. Am about 6'3" so want taller than BRP Tall Boy. Looking at the F4 Customs with the installed vent or the Canamspyderaccessories (Pierre) that has the non-louvered vent. Former is PolyCarb and latter is Acrylic. The Pierre one has a pretty detailed writeup about it's advantages but I also read a lot of good things about the F4 Customs. Anyone have any experience with both of them to help me decide? If not, any info on the Canamspyderaccessories one would be great as I don't see much about it (tons on the F4 Customs). Thanks and loving my new F3!

Hi !!

I can't say anything with Pierre's windshield but the F4 windshield I bought for my F3L is one of the best investments I've made for my bike. I got the 21inch, cut down to 20inch, vent and side deflectors.
I can't see going with any other windshield for my F3L. The side deflectors work great at keeping wind off hand grips.
If you decide to go with F4, I have a brand new 23inch (no side deflectors) with vent. I'd sell it to you for 250.00 plus shipping.
I bought the 23 inch and it was too tall for me. So I ordered the 21 inch cut down to 20 inch and it was perfect. My thought was that if the 20 inch didn't work, I still had the 23 inch to cut down to 21 inch.

Sorry, I have no experience with Pierre’s windshield, but the F4 has two great features that the others don’t. You can clean it with plain water and paper towel at gas stations when filling up, plus it has optional side wings which you can open/close for better wind control. The 25” F4 works great for me as I am big and tall (6’7”), with a 2” taller DayLong seat than standard, and it comes to level with my mouth which means I see well over the top while it lets good air into the Shoei front air scoop.

I would also recommend the F4. I had one on my Gold Wing, and it was fantastic. I'm 6'4" and have the 23 1/2" F4 w/vent for my F3t. It is great. Cleaning is so easy, and it is quite sturdy. The vent is a must. F4 support is also very good.

My wife and I both have the F4 25 inch windshields on our F3Ls. I am 6'2" with an Ultimate seat and I can just look over the top. We both highly recommend the F4 windshield.

The vent and side wings on the f4 made a tremendous difference in buffeting. The sweet spot to create a calm pocket of air is to open the vent 1/4 way, and close the side wings. You will be happy with the f4

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
Dollar for dollar the F4 windshield IMHO is the best money can buy!

Hello Tommy how tall are you? I ask as I'm thinking of getting the F4 to lessen the buffeting when my wife is on back, but I still want to see over the windshield, I'm 5-8.

HiYa ChicagoSpyder !!

I'm 5' 51/2"

I had mine cut down to 20 inches. I look completely over windshield. Airflow is maybe 2 inches over top of my head.

Thanks for all of the great comments and support from the Riders who like the F4 Customs windshield. These types of comments make our day

Hey Tommy, you still have that windshield for sale. I'm interested. Sent you a PM.

I have a 2018 F3L and have a F4 Customs 21 inch. I am 5'3", so look through the windshield with no problems. I also have the airwings and love that setup. No buffeting and love the way to clean with just station wipes and water. I do have the F4 cleaning fluid, can carry it with me and usually use it for cleaning. You can't go wrong with the F4 windshield.
