• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3S SM6 pre buy questions

Sunday I’m going to look at and hopefully buy a 2015 F3S SM6 with 9500 miles on it. It looks good in the pics and I sense he is a good guy. What should I look at and how do I tell if it has had any software updates? I am aware of the front sprocket issue. Can I visually see it without taking panels off? Any other things I should look at? Thanks,

Get the VIN # and have the dealer run it for mechanical information. Call the owner NOW for the info, so you go prepared with the information. Check KBB or NADA blue books for private party sale #'s.

He may be the greatest Guy on the planet .... But I would take ARtraveler's advice ..... good luck and :welcome:

I have the same model with 20,900 miles sprocket fine but spare one ready. They installed a clutch vacuum assist on mine because the clutch pull on the 2015 model was like you needed to be popeye the sailor. If it does't have the vacuum clutch assist installed you will be in for a surprise? Try it first! ALSO Run the vin because I had to have a additional frame support under the seat per recall!

Check it out

:coffee: I think you will need to remove some pieces to see the front sprocket.
That being said, there are several other items to consider when buying any used Spyder.

Do your homework and get some good information about the 2015 F3S SM6.

Several good Tips have been presented on this post. (See post #2).

Good Luck on Your Mission. ......
