• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Still has only 1 mile on it...it's being delivered by the dealer to my house this afternoon (23 degrees outside...but next week will be in the 50's, if you can believe that for Indianapolis!).

Has Blue Ridge (otherwise known as "tiny") windshield, heated grips, 'pigtail' for battery tender, and 12v outlet under the rear seat, so far. BRP told my dealer that floorboards and backrest will arrive in "late March" with the Cross Country Saddlebags delayed until April 24th. :banghead: I've been seriously looking for some after-market throw-over bags...there are a lot of options out there at a whole lot less $. ANYONE HAVE A SUGGESTION for good-looking, large, reasonably waterproof aftermarket throw-over bags?

Interesting experience with UFit: According the the 'guidance' on the BRP website, I should have "fit" with the stock handlebar and peg position 4. (I'm 5'10"). Not even close! I ended up with position 5 and the "short reach" bar. Cost a bit more for the non-stock bar, but boy, is it comfortable! It's like sitting in a recliner. Can't wait to get it on the road.

One other item: The accessory access under the left panel (by the handlebars) was not obvious when we opened the panel. However, they found the appropriate wire. I'm having a USB outlet attached there. The dealer is going to cut the panel and install the outlet (with a rubber cap) right into the panel so I don't have to take the panel off every time I want to use the USB. Also, since there is no 'mounting' system for the outlet under that panel, it would have just been flopping around in there.
Anyway, I'll follow up more on this when the F3 has more than 1 mile on it. :ohyea:

nice!

It looks great! That's nice to hear that SOMEONE got heated grips. I'm still waiting on my accessories. Headed down to the dealership today to have them inspect my brake line for the warranty campaign. I'll have a chance to ask about the status of my backordered accessories.

:congrats: on the new ride!! Still waiting on my windshield and aux lights!! :banghead::banghead:

I also have the black & chrome f3s and I am using Nelson Riggs saddlebags and large tail bag for $300 total waterproof and more space than the OEM stuff. I am also waiting for floorboards and backrests. Otherwise I think any other improvements will come from non OEM stuff.. The auxiliary light s price would choke an elephant and then the crummy fit is disgusting

:congrats: on finally getting the F3-S home. Growing pains with a new model introduction and hopefully supply will catch up with demand with the accessory situation.

Yes, about snow and cold in Indianapolis. When I lived in Ft. Wayne, I was usually mowing the grass by the end of March.

Enjoy your new ride.

These guys have a good selection.

Congrats! You'll love your new ryde. Good idea on the USB mounting option! I have one on order and will have them do that as well.

When you get the USB outlet installed, can you please take a photo of it so I know what to ask my dealer to do. Are you installing it on the removable panel or somewhere else on the dash?

Thanks!
Robert

I'd like to see this too. I installed an auxiliary power outlet under the passenger seat, but am curious on the USB install on the side. I found the accessory wire at the side panel, but it seems like it does not have the wire terminal connectors like the one under the passenger seat.
