• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 windshield

Hello all, picking up my 2019 F3 next week, looking for windscreen options so they can have it ready for when picked up. I really like the look of the route 129 windshield. Anyone have that one? It is 15.5" tall. Some may sayou it's too short but I have a short torso, I'm all legs and 5'8. As some know you should look over a windshield not through it. So any input would be great. Thanks

Not everyone subscribes to the same position as you regarding looking over as opposed to through. I've been riding since the late 60s and have always preferred looking through. I've always had it adjusted to where if I had to look over I could, but normally through to protect my face from debris and bugs.

I currently have an 18" MadStad adjusted up high with no tilt, but can easily be dropped down and tilted.

I was looking at that windshield also, I need a short one, as you mentioned about looking into,if you prefer that, problem is glare, distortion, bugs and crap, really not ideal, but if you don't mind that lol. Was wondering if anyone has tried route 129. Thanks for reply, as that one you mentioned was 2nd choice.

I have the Route 129 windshield on my 2017 F3-S Daytona. This is an exceptional windshield. Like you I looked at many different styles. I kept going back to this one. You will not be disappointed. In my opinion it is one of the best looking windshields also.

I installed the 7Jurock 16" with a flip. 5-9 and I see well over it, yet the wind is above my helmet's eye port, but low enough to get to the vent. Great price too. I've had other 7Jurock windshields and never disappointed.

I will give them a look also. Havent heard that brand before. Thanks

I have a Freedom Shield on my Harley and I absolutely love it. The flare on it is optically clear meaning it doesn't distort the road like most other flares do. The plexi is thicker than most and the edges are hand polished. Dave is a great guy too. I wish I could buy directly from him but he seems that LaMonster struck some kind of deal with him so that I can only buy it from him. Dave gave me a military discount on my Harley windscreen, I'm not sure if LaMonster will do the same, I'll have to ask. Anyway, we're about to get her a new windshield and you can bet it'll be a Freedom Shield.

I F4 customs offers a 28 and a 32 inch windshield for the F3 S and both are adjustable.

Or Shields are made out of high optics polycarbonate, clean with paper towels and any glass cleaner and are extremely highly scratch resistance.

I had the Blue Ridge to start with but it just didn't feel right. Still had too much buffeting for my liking. I exchanged it with one from Zach at Gustafsson Plastics. www.bikescreen.com They have been doing it right for 50 years. The first was a direct replacement using the Blue Ridge hardware. I have since changed to the model that uses their hardware. Perfect amount of airflow to cut turbulence while providing cooling and protection. I recently added a tinted shorty to my RTs. Completes the look of the bike.
