• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 Tank Guard from Spyderwraps

Looks ok but hard to put on the largest peice that wraps around the tank. Could not get it to lay without a couple of wrinkles

Did you wet the tank as the instructions show? Squidge in place from the center out?

I am no good at this sort of thing, botched a set of stripes pretty badly but the tank guard is real easy. Virtually no stretching required.

I screwed it up as well. I have a few bubbles as well. I did the frunk without much difficulty, but the tank was a little more difficult. .

Instuctions from spyderwraps say "Dry application only".

What..!!

ya'll need to take a picture..:banghead: all sound like something to see and all I'm picturing is bubbles and wrinkles..:roflblack:

I'm on my 2nd set of OEM stripes, this one installed by a "vinyl guy" and it's still starting to pucker along a couple of spot on the edges. I decided to go ahead and do custom paint on the hood and front fenders because the vinyl bugs me. On the other hand, the clear vinyl "bra" that the vinyl guy installed to protect the tank has no issues and has saved the tank from numerous scuffs and it's hard to even tell it's there.

Thats odd. The instructions I had clearly had me mist the tank and apply wet and then squigee from the center out. Went on without a hitch and no bubbles after it dried for a couple days.

That's wierd, I have contacted Spyderwraps to see if i received the wrong instructions,

Spyderwraps had been monitoring this post and contacted me with concern. After I spoke with them they gave me tips on how to apply this particular piece (of course I had done it completely wrong) however it is a dry application but you can use the mist application but it is not recommended. They are sending out another tank guard to have me try it again. They also said they will be coming out with a video on this product. It was my fault for not contacting them in the beginning when I had questions but it was Sunday and I told myself "how hard could it be!!!)

Spyderwraps (wrapmyspyder) sent me another tank guard for theF3 free of charge. Still had a tough time. I quickly changed to the wet application that jcthorne suggested and the install went much better. However the instructions are to apply dry.
