• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3-T third service at ~15k miles

2020 F3-T going in for "routine" service this week. Cost was quoted = $515 (swallow hard). Service to be performed at dealer in middle TN. Does include (advertised) free pick up & delivery. Winter here and too cold and or wet for riding much so thought a good time for service. Is that cost within a range of what others are experiencing?

There's no required service at 15000 miles if you had the original oil changed at 3000 and again at 12000 per the schedule in the owners manual. What exactly will they be doing for $515?

There isn't a specific service at 15,000 miles, but the service intervals are "miles or years".
The Operators Guide for my 2024 Spyder RT has this statement at the bottom of Page 119:

The maintenance chart indicates the items needing to be addressed based on 2 criteria, whichever happens first:
– Calendar time
– Odometer reading

How many miles or months has it been since the second service was performed? Look at pages 125-126 of your Operator's Guide and you will see most of the items listed at 9,300 miles or 1 year (whichever comes first) are visual inspections except performing a pressure test of the cooling system (never seen one done on mine in the very few times the dealership has serviced mine) and removing the front grill and clearing debris from the radiator air duct (N/A on mine).

9300 Miles or once a year whichever comes first. $350 is for oil change/filter. But I guess that is slowly catching up with everything else.

Over two years since 9k mile service. Curious about cost ??
I do my own so I can't claim any accuracy on an oil change cost estimate, but think ARtraveler's estimate is probably in the ballpark. The BRP price for the 8 individual parts called for in an oil change (filter, O-rings and 2 metal gaskets, one copper, one aluminum) should be just below $50 plus tax, but some dealers do mark up individual parts. Were it my wallet, I'd want to see a breakdown for the reasons mentioned in Post #4. One must remember that the service department is a cost center that a well run dealership must price goods and services appropriately so that other cost centers in the operation don't have to contribute income to keep the service department running. Tell 'em you want the breakdown so you know how many dollars are escaping the billfold with the moths.

I also do my own oil & filter changes. I get my oil, Amsoil and oil filter kit for Baja Ron. Have for years. Changing the oil & filter is not rocket science, it's actually pretty easy.

I noticed your location and you are about 3.5 hours from BajaRon's shop in Greeneville, TN. If you make an appointment for an oil change you can be there and home in one day. Ron recommends and uses Amsoil with his customers. It is a great oil and he also carries the oil filter kits. Call his shop at (423) 609-7588 and get a price. I think you will be pleased plus a 7 hour ride on your Spyder would be great if you enjoy riding as much as I do.

Without you telling us exactly what's included in that $515 it's going to be pretty difficult for anyone to tell you if that's a good price or not...
