• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3-T audio info

Here's some info you may not have seen about the audio system on the new F3-T. They get a lot of sound out of a 80 watt system by channeling the sound and keeping it in the riders area much like a Bose system. It sounds great.

Lamont,
Does the USB port replace the original "patch plug", that we have to use on prior year bikes?
Or is it in addition to it?

You guys are over thinking this.

On the previous RT's BRP (actually RadioSound) implemented it's own DIN plug instead of a standard USB plug and a standard 3.5mm audio connector. But for the iPod this basically IS a USB connection just not using a USB plug on the Spyder.
The other leads on the DIN plug was an audio connection (3.5 mm audio to the DIN) for basic MP3 players that do not have a USB port.

Now all that is on a standard USB connection. No audio connection just USB.

So per what it says, to use a iPod/iPhone you just use the USB cable that came with your iPod/iPhone. You will get on the screen all the iPod function like you see on a RT today. Nothing more nothing less.

If you plug in a MP3 player via USB, or even a simple USB thumb drive, you can play music with basic music controls like AUX did on the RT with a little more info and cap[ability than todays RT.
