• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. F3 Spyder vs RT Spyder

I seems to me that the F3 cycles are the same as the RT's but without all the tupperware. I will bet they are easier to service, but not as comfortable. Am I right or not ?

I test rode the '20 F3 and RT before buying the RT. For me, the RT was more comfortable and the floorboards let me move my feet forward or back as needed. It's a personal choice since both are as much fun but I like looooong rides and the RT suits my needs better than the F3. But if access for servicing is important, the F3 is the obvious pick.

Totally different feel. Sat on an RT and hated it. The F3 fit me well. Keep in mind I came from Harleys so that was the seating position I was most comfortable with. Just finished a long 15 day road trip, and am happy with my decision to go with the F3. Main drawback (and it is a small one for me) is that the F3 has less storage than the RT.

F3 is much more a cruiser style, feet forward position, RT is a standard, feet straight down, upright riding position. If you are coming from Harleys or cruisers in general, you will probably prefer the F3. RT also has a bit more storage space at least on the earlier versions.

I test rode an F3 Ltd in 2016 and was impressed with its zip and ride; however, the Tupperware hit the inside of my knees which I found uncomfortable and a war stopper. Add to that I much prefer the greater cargo capacity of the RT.

Comfort and preference between the F3 and RT series all will come down to a personal preference. I had a 2014 RT, 2012 RSS, and currently a 2016 F3T. I loved the sound of the RSS best, the storage on the RT best, and the acceleration and seating comfort of the F3T best. But if I could combine and make the perfect spyder (without upgrading components), it would be to have the 2020+RT Limited, but with the quality workmanship and larger rear sprocket that came with my 2016 F3T. The quality seems to have gone down on the newer ones, and the rear sprocket would wake the off line acceleration up on this beast.

There have been a few RT vs. F3 comparisons.

I have had three RT's and now two F3's. My RT's were pre 2021 and they are a bit different.

In a nutshell: The RT's are more like a GW and the F3's like a fine cruiser. You sit ON the RT and IN the F3. I would guess the F3 a bit easier to work on because of the less tupperware. You ride on a couch with the RT and are a little closer to the road on the F3. The F3 "seems" a little more perkier than the RT. Cost is about $2K less for a comparable F3. I do NOT miss the electric windshield on the RT. We now have almost 30K miles on our F3's. Right now...my favorites out of the seven Spyder rides I have had.

Since both have the 1330 engine, I have experienced the same mileage with both models. Around 40 mpg. Even though the F3 is a bit lighter, we probably are driving them a bit more agressively.
