• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the rpm that you shift at, thru all the gears and at what rpm do you cruise at while driving the speed limit. Have looked at the dos and do nots, by that scenario, I would be in forth or fifth gear driving around town, 50 km zone.

No F3 here, but have the 1330 engine. For smooth, quiet shifts, 3000 to 3500 rpm seems to be good. 50 km (about 35 mph here) would be third or fourth gear. I try to keep the tach spinning at about 2500 to 3000 rpm. 50mph (about 90 kmh) is where I would be riding in 6th gear.

There is plenty of low end torque, so you will not be lugging the engine at 2500 rpm.

when you want

The previously stated 3000-3500 is a good rule of thumb. The 1330 engine seems to be pretty forgiving so you can shift at other points. It won't let you shift too early, and there's a throttle governor at the high end so you can't rap it out.

coming from the rs i want to run it to 5k before shifting, but have learned very quickly that you don't need to.

I want proof that you own an F3, I think you still have that snazzy RS....:D
waiting for my graphics guy to do his thing, then i'll show ya that we have one! someone want to vouch for me for the time being???:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

arrow

On the mid gauge right where the gear position appears an up arrow will show up as you accelerate and will disappear as you shift, can't find purpose of this arrow in manual

Shift rpm depends on your desired rate of acceleration. (not your speed) This engine has enough low-end tq to shift at 3K if you are accelerating easily, but if you want it's best motivation, I'd shift at 6-7K rpm. Once the engine is warmed up (oil temp, not water temp), you can't hurt it with those rpm.
