F3-S Brake Light Modulator Woes

F3-S Brake Light Modulator

Long story short, no one makes a plug-n-play unit for the F3/F3-S. :banghead: I have never been and never will be a fan of splicing or cutting the OE wiring....

Anyone hear near me (Sonoma, CA 95476) with a modulator installed that would let me compare the plugs on their bike to the ones on mine? I can ride to meet you somewhere as well.

I am currently trying to find the type pf plugs used on the bikes' brake lights to see if I can do my own plug-n-play....

HOLY CR@P! I have just found the holy grail for us F3/F3-S guys/gals!! I have found a company that is coming to market in approx 2-3 weeks for a plug-n-play system that adds an LED light-bar over or under (your choice as how to mount it) the license plate which can be modulated! :yes: It will come in either a chrome housed light-bar or black. It will be all plug-n-play, with a full length harness, fully sealed module etc.

They are making a special Superflash modulator to use with it that can isolate the light-bar's running light feature when the modulator becomes active (on the brakes). It is an additional cost but will be completely plug-n-play as well and sounds super clean to me! :bowdown:

Don't know the forum rules on this type of thing so if you wanna PM me I will give you the company's name/contact info and who to talk to. They put me on a list for it and can add you as well.... :2thumbs: Just tell em Chuck (hypurone) sent ya!

As stated they are not selling them yet, They have had 2 "out on the road for testing" for several months and both have been 100%. They just have to finalize them. Yeah give em a call and ask for Lewis.... :thumbup:

Well, Lewis at Electrical Connection finally did it! He has the LED light bar with Modulator complete! I have the first one since I did not need/want documented instructions since I was going to have to "fiddle with it" as I am running the Can Am Chopped Rear Fender on my F3-S.... Excellent quality all around and completely plug and play. NOTE: IN ITS CURRENT FORM THIS IS DESIGNED FOR THE OEM FENDER AND WILL REQUIRE THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX FOR THOSE WITH A FENDER LIKE MINE.

I am working with Lewis to see if he wants to actually design one for the Chopped Rear Fender. It really only requires removing connectors for the license plate light (it is run separately on chopped fender setup) and possible shortening the length of the loom a little...

The light bar can be mounted above or below the license plate (even on the chopped fender but looks a little goofy mounted above, IMHO) and is 10 LED's and very bright. The SuperFlash Modulator is adjustable for rate of flash and length of flash!

Didn't have time to do any pics or vids after completion but may do so if time allows over the next few days!

Ordered the kit from Spyderpops. Should be arriving this weekend.
