• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 Packages

Is there an actual Package Price for like the Touring Package or do you have to order each thing separately?

I have basically the touring package. You have to order piece by piece. At least I did. I have never heard of being able to just order the "package".

It's kind of BS on the part of mother BRP... There is no "package". You can have the dealer add on the hugely overpriced accessories to get to what they consider the "touring " package.

Regretfully, not only are the BRP accessories overpriced, but oftentimes you will find better product at better prices in the aftermarket shortly after a product is released. For instance both MadStad and F4 now have windshields vastly superior to the tallest BRP windshield.. It is somewhat ridiculous that there is ABSOLUTELY NO DISCOUNT for buying all the pieces that make up a package...

:agree: Their marketing strategy often seems... questionable!
If they made the options easier to purchase, and then actually priced them competitively; they could sell a whole lot more of them!

You are really getting mellow Bob, to me their marketing strategy seems INSANE!!!

Wait, what? Here in the old world you can buy different editions (touring, urban nights, muscle attitude...) which are essentially packages!!!!

The touring edition comes with :
Blueridge Windshild
Drivers backrest
Passenger backrest
Saddlebags
Cannonball Seat
I paid about €2000 for all of it.

Oh, but that was when I bought the F3s...I'm not sure if I could just go back and tell him to get the urban nights package for me. But he had seperate prices for each edition/package...

The whole "package" is a little misleading. You build what you want to get the "package" they offer. As far as discounts on package deals, that's up to the dealer. There is no package discount to them that I know of.

Thanks Lamont for the information on the package.

Discounts up to the dealer, no discount to the dealer--makes it a kind of an iffy road for the purchaser.

I do like the part where you can pick and choose the accessories where you make your "package" exactly what you want.

It would be good to see some kind of a package % discount when buying a few of the accessories to put on the F3.

I am sure the margin is there because of the high price of the accessories to start with--but then we get back to how much the individual dealers want to incentivize the purchase.

A potential problem, as the accessories are mostly being defined by the customers as way over priced to start with.

Bottom line for me, I think BRP would sell more packages and accessories is there was a discount incentive on them.

:agree: Does anybody actually know what the mark-up is on the accessories? :dontknow:
I have heard that it's 100%... Is that true? :yikes:

The profit margin that BRP needs to make their bottom line is included when the price is passed on to the dealers.

I can see the mothership not passing big discounts to the dealers--it seems to stop when BRP gets theirs.

We have also heard of dealers being squeezed when it comes to warranty issues, etc.

Since we are not privy, we are not going to know for sure.

Mother BRP ships the F3 in two favors and two flavors only, the F3 or the F3S. If you want the touring package or urban night etc, the dealer will install the accessories listed by BRP and you will pay list price for them PLUS INSTALLATION unless you can negotiate a discount..

Wow, I'm quite shocked that you guys have to buy each item separately...
I got out the offer my dealer here in Germany gave me :

Escape package 2737€
Muscle Attitude package 2400€
Urban Nights package 1975€

Each package (and they use the word package "Paket") is way cheaper than getting each item separately!

And installation is included!

I was also offered the choice of 'packages'. But as there wasn't one that I liked 100%
I'm just getting want I want.
All of the packages include the Akropovic end can and I
don't like the look of it at all but at the price it is it's a definite no-no.

Thanks for all of your input. We purchased an F3 today and will piece together our package...
:congrats: We're gonna need to see some pictures of your new Pride & Joy!

 I wonder why they didn't decide to offer that to all of their markets? :dontknow:
It just seems to make too much sense
