• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have now done 2 F3 mufflers, after mods they sound just like the Akrapovic.

The best way is to do what I did and bit the bullet and chop the end off and have a look at what you have and make you own mind up where you go from there, a hint it is now 50mm shorter and I had to fabricate the tail pipe I do an exchange muffler here in NZ for $500 so don't want to give to much more info.
I did the same with the 2010 RS ones got the cutoff grinder and gave one the chop but they were quite noisy for some.
My idea off putting this feed on was to let those interested that they can be modified instead of spending about $1400.

I've seen lots of guys gut out the insides of their Harley mufflers & I bought a used softail that the muffler internals were removed for louder sound. End result is it may have added a small touch more HP on top RPM but the bike couldn't handle low rpm acceleration--it needed the back pressure to accelerate at low rpm's. Don't know if that's the same with the Can Am engines but the muffler gutting on the Harley's lost low end power...

You can gut the muffler, but spend the money on the Lamonster Cat replacement pipe and install the Big City Thunder baffle, you'll get the sound plus the bottom end power, but the baffle has to be installed for the back pressure. I'm an old Harley guy and I've set up many an exhaust on them, they also need a certain amount of back pressure to run correctly. I don't know anyone who rides on the street that runs wide open throttle all the time to benefit from the totally gutted muffler or Harley Drag Pipes, useless, but loud.
I still ride my Harley's when the old body can, the Can Am F3 when I hurt, so I can stay in the saddle either way.:doorag::doorag:
