Today it was raining so I decided to install a cable for the battery tender. As I am trying to reconnect the wires to the battery terminals, I dropped a screw. It looks like I will have to disassemble the bike to find it so I look for another screw. Luckily I found two from a previous bike that would fit. In the meantime, I had removed the battery from the frunk. As I put it back in, one of the removable square nut falls off. So now I'm missing one nut. So my questions are:
What panel(s) do I need to remove to have access to the underside of the frunk, the bottom of where the battery sits
If I decide to leave the nut and screw in the underside, can they cause damage in any way, rattling, maybe a short?
If I decide to change the bump skid, will removing the OEM skid most likely give me access to the area where the lost screw and nut are hiding?
Any info will help.
Short term, I will try to find the replacement terminal nut.
Thanks
JG
