• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 - Engine/frame side spash guard removal

Has anyone pulled the splash guards off? ....the ones mounted on the frame held in
with (3) torx and the (1) Push-pin? I pulled those all out but the unit did not "split"
apart.

It looks as if the front (facing the tire) and under is one part, then top-rear is
another. It clearly is apart in the rear where the torx were but did not want to
force something if its snapped in on the front side?

"You didn't say the magic word..."

Sorry; I just HAD to post it! :D
Good luck; please let us know how it all comes apart!

Will do. (I am putting in the BajaRon sway and end-links). I will post a quick summary afterwards
on other things removed to make it faster or necessary.

I will say this, about that... the bar is definitely larger, and, the new end links are just flat-out far superior
to the original composite units. I could see the OEM end-links breaking some day for someone that hits
a good amount of twisty roads where the sway-bar comes into play.

 I'll just bet that you can't wait to pitch the bike into some twisties!!:yes::yes:

Actually it does pretty darn good now... But, with 2-up there is no doubt that the extra weight is
not my friend, yet all-in-all pretty good. (The bar is just about out... at the jack-it-up high point
for clearance then pull it out). The guards I can move enough to access the 10mm bolts, plus I
removed an under rear-trunk panel. (three push pins).

I removed mine a long time ago and just did a 4000 mile trip in some nasty weather and my conclusion is they are not needed.

This was a very wet day. My F3 is behind the RT

there are 4 torx screws and 1 Philips head type push pin. it took 4 min to take them off. the more parts I take off the better it looks. :doorag: deerhunter milt

Wet!

I was riding in San Antonio during a rain storm and at a certain speed the tire and splash guard channeled the water right into the top of my boot. :roflblack:

I will remove them when I get the trike back from the shop. ;)
