• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 Engine Check Light with display "Check DPS"

retrieving active codes yourself

it takes two hands to retrieve codes. With the key on and the display normal, take your left thumb and depress the eco and the set button at the same time. While those two buttons are down take your right thumb and press the turn signal button straight in. So for just a moment you are pressing three buttons in at the same time. All three buttons are on the left handle bar controls.
If the screen is blank there are no active codes. If you see letters and numbers like P0172 that is an example of codes.
The next time you see any idiot lights, pull over and get the codes.

Do you keep the engine running before pulling the code?

I can do this function while driving. Sometimes there are codes that drop off when the key goes off then on. Some temporary codes are related to manifold pressure being exceeded after red lining the bike. Or some temporary fuel codes from being rich or lean.

If you think you might lose the code, keep the bike running.

Speedster; Any update? Having the same issues and the dealer is calling for replacing DPS.
If it's under warranty, I would just get it replaced, if not, wait until total failure and keep an eye out for one on the bay.

Can't believe how crap the f3 is. Shame on BRP .

Your picture shows the ignition switch is in the Off position yet you say it's right after start up. What am I missing?

The dealer did replace the DPS unit under warranty. The service manager said that there were a couple of iterations of the unit and the 2017 and early 2018 models seemed to be having this problem. When I was picking up the trike, I was told another one had come in with the same problem. Much to my pleasure, the problem has been resolved. BTW, this is a great, fun machine. I am really enjoying it.
