F3 driver's backrest install

Trying to complete the install. What I can't tell from the drawing is how the panel nut (P4) is oriented. Does the threaded portion sit on top of the hole or is it underneath facing down? Hopefully underneath because that's the way I did it and I can't remove it! pps:


Also, unrelated to the thread title, I have a question about "gear noise". So hopefully anyone viewing with knowledge please reply. Have two F3's in the driveway and both have a loud "gravely" sounding gear noise at idle and roadway speed (not like grinding rocks but definitely noticeable.. Since they both have I thought it might be normal maybe due to the fact that this area is not covered by any body panels like my RTS had.

Ok figured the panel nut out myself by looking at the position of the panel nuts used to bolt on the driver's seat. The backrest is very comfortable. Two different height settings. Tilt of backrest front to back is adjustable. Also includes a "locking bolt" to prevent theft.
Turned out to be a very easy install.
