• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 Belt Tension (lbs/kg)

I had a new belt installed recently and I want to check the tension of it now that I've put on a 1000km on new belt. I have a Kricket that measures the tension by LB / KG, but I am not sure what the tension is supposed to be set at.

If anyone has the info it would be greatly appreciated. I'd prefer to try this myself instead of taking it in to the shop.

Thanks in advance.

My 2015 F3S sitting on garage floor, drive belt is run at 180# Kricket taken from underneath middle of belt pushing up to check #, (just rear of sticker on left side swingarm).
I have run 180# for past year 16,000 miles, (200# (max) Kricket for me anyway, higher # not needed on F3S Spyder).
What caused you to install a new drive belt on F3S, (a rock get in belt)?
Enjoy your rydes.

Thanks!

Appreciate the info! Yes I had 2 rocks pushed through my belt. It happened last year on my trip from Northern Canada to New Orleans. 35 mile section of road repair in Wyoming (tar / gravel pack), was picking tar and gravel off the bike for days and I thought I'd got all of it but missed a few that got caught in the sprocket.
