• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 Backrest ? worth getting

I too, am 5'8" and am in dire need of a backrest on my F3T, as I posted in another thread yesterday on 'seats'. My debate is between the stock BRP and the Ultimate(Lamonster sells it, but with an easier-to-install bracket). $294 for the Ultimate and about $460 for the BRP. Question for me also - is one more comfortable than the other?
Smooth Spyder Dual mode is out of the discussion for me, as my wife and I always ride together.
Different strokes for different folks.

Good luck with your decision!!!

I have both

I have both the BRP back rest on the F3L and the Ultmate on our RTL. They are both comfortable. The BRP rest is bigger and covers more of your back and may seem like it gives better support. I would think that going with the lesser price maybe the way to go. The BRP rest does have the "anti-theft" mechanism while the ultimate does not. At least it didn't whenI bought mine 3 years ago!

Well, I ordered the Ultimate backrest from Lamonster (talked to Jacob) on Thursday and received it Saturday. Talk about prompt service! I installed it this evening, and look forward to the ride - hopefully, it will clear up the negative aspects of the stock seat.

Glad you like it. We just placed another order yesterday for the black stitch rest as we ran out over the weekend. We feel the price is right, the quality is what you would expect from a Lamonster product and it looks great on the bike. http://www.lamonstergarage.com/lamonster-ultimate-f3-back-rest-red-stitching/
