• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. EZ Pass Mounting Location. Do you think this will work

Crisis

Hi,
I was able to wedge my NY State EZ pass between my Madstad Windshield metal bracket. The bottom part is sticking out. What do you think?
Thanks in Advance.

Should work, but the folks at EZpass told me that it should not be exposed to rain. Mine is mounted inside the frunk lid, and that works fine everywhere EXCEPT the Newburg - Beacon Bridge on I-84 in NY. Don't have a clue as to why it doesn't work there.

Me too !!
And the Bear Mountain Bridge is hit or miss.

:agree: With under the frunk. I have used my EZ pass there in PA, MD, NJ, NY and some other states in the north east and never had an issue.

Problems with ez pass

I had it between the outer windshield and lower "wing" and it wouldn't always be sensed. I moved it to upper left on the windshield. It works there, but does get rained on if I ride in the rain. I do try to stay dry, but not always successful.....

Same here, but I don't have one mounted anywhere on the Spyder. Whenever I think I'm going to be on a toll road, I just grab the EZ pass from my car and stick it in one of the frunk pockets near the top. Never had a problem with that. Somewhere near the top of the frunk is by far the best place for an EZ pass transponder. It keeps it out of the weather and out of sight.

I cant get mine to be read in the frunk. is there a special spot that it woks for you? I was thinking of getting the gauge spoiler and mounting it under there.

Try this..

"X" grip on a ram mount for when you need it. Otherwise velcroed to the underside of the frunk lid...We don't have those things out here but for the two tolls I know of one you throw your money at one and the other you have to go online to pay :banghead: good thing you don't need either one to get where you want to go...Oh and we are working on a bullet train to nowhere...:roflblack:

I mounted ours onto the inside frunk lid. They've been there for years and we've never had any issues going through EZ tag zones.

I only have one EZ pass also. It is registered to both our vehicles and the Spyder. I have a set of those strips they mount to in all three and I mount it to the Spyder whenever I think I might be riding near a toll road.

Here in Sydney Australia, you don't need the tollpass as long as you have registered your number plate with the Tollway company they just talk a pic of your number plate as you pass through, match it to your account and that's it.
