• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Extremely Disturbing-No Joke!

I'm in the gang that believes we've grown too politically correct over the years. That picture should be conspicuously posted in every motorcycle dealership parts and accessories department. If it saves one rider such an injury it's done its job.

I think pictures like that should be plastered on billboards along with pictures of what happens when texting while driving. Now that I think about it, throw some pictures up of bikini clad females riding motorcycles. My bad; these would all be distractions. I just like being politically incorrect.

This photo is 15-20 years old. It was posted on a Harley website years ago for real without the poster, and still has the same affect. If I remember correctly the rider got tangled up with the bike after it went down and could not get away. (please remind the Spyder rider that his seat belts are a BAD IDEA)

Intelligence has a limit, Stupidity is limitless!

ATGATT

I do not always wear ATGATT and even go helmetless at times but, for the life of me I do not understand these crotch rocket riders I see wearing helmets, armored jackets, shorts and flip flops, and going way faster than flow of most of the traffic.:dontknow:

The terminology for that attired rider is a "SQUID". :yikes:

Can you explain that terminology? I've seen that before on SL's, and it may have been you that time also. I just wondered if each of the letters stood for something.:dontknow:

Good find Wyliec.

The term has been used kind of interchangeably, for years, depending on who you are talking to. I remember it being used in Cycle World magazine way, way, back as a reference to sport bike riders in general.

I've seen siliar photo's from an open face helmet

A very graphic reason for wearing proper gear. This HOAR (Hop On And Ride) learned the hard way after getting low sided. Really caught my attention.

It may be ugly but it's reality---the photo I saw was from a guy wearing a helmet with the fllp up visor--reality isn't alway pretty :-(
Awareness is good...

The picture above has made me rethink my choice of footwear when I ride! No more dress shoes for me on my short 12 mile commute to work.

I've ridden the street for 53 years, all over the country and never had a wreck at all--knock on my wooden head but after seeing this picture I will have to choose better and more protective clothing.

Thank you OP for the Paradigm change!

Sam:sour:
