• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Extra Battery

Well my next porject is to add a battery. I have a battery isolater from Tricled so if 1 gets low it goes to the other. If i am running lights without it running. Was thinking about putting it in the left side back cargo area??? with a fuse box an isolator in there. Not worried about taken up space. Any ideas?? or pics?? would be of great help. Just out of curiousity...why? Do you have a lot of lights that you leave on when the Spyder isn't running? Do you have a refrigerator in the trunk. Battery isolators are usually used to keep accessory loads from running down the starting battery. If you don't have excessive accessory loads, excessive idling that cannot recharge the battery, or loads that draw with the engine off, all an extra battery does is add weight and take up space.

I am also curious as to why?

Ditto ... I was always under the impression that LEDs didn't draw a whole lot of juice... (Assuming that from your reference to TricLEDs...)

Have to agree..!!

Have to agree with the learned folks above.. Are you adding an AC unit for the summer..?? :roflblack: :roflblack:

i was kind of wondering if he was planning on running sound for a band ....we have over 400 led lights on our can am with 7 color wireless remote and still dont need an extra battery...i have run them for as many as 24 hours without it running and had no noticable drain on my battery...they claim i could run for 3-4 days with no issues...i have no desire to try it and find out.... i believe that could be to much...the new lights are amazing and have little battery drainage...

THE MBTX 24 U MOTOBATT

I can understand it.
The 21aH battery is only sufficient for about a month and a half without a battery tender on a dead stock RT.
The extra capacity would be a convenience (not a necessity) and as long as you went on a few long trips keeping both batteries up shouldn't tax the system too much.
If you did allow both batteries to go low then the charge time would be almost twice as long as with a standard set up.

I believe his is the one in the picture ? ? ? and that one is a 25 aH battery.....Mike
