• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

extended warranty

Shop around. Your dealership is not likely going to give you the best price on the Warranty. Pitbull and Mega Mall are consistently cheaper. If you want to maintain relations with you Dealer then tell him what your finding warranty pricing elsewhere and see if they will price match (they generally do).

I just bought a used 2014 RTL from a fella on this forum. He had only a month ago paid $900 for a Pitbull extended warranty and per the warranty it is transferrable to the next owner as long as they are notified within 30 days and fill in some paperwork. Jeremy, the former owner, and I have been in email contact with Pitbull since 5 days ago and although they have acknowledged the request for transfer they have yet to get back to me with a confirmation.

I think Pitbull is just selling a third-party insurance contract and don't really have any control over how well the insurance company honors its contract with the insured. That's a lot different than a factory extended warranty; on my other RTL, when its factory warranty expires next October I will definitely be buying the BEST extension.

Has anyone got any real-world experience with Pitbull's insurance product?

The extended is 4 years?

Well you know how salesmen are. Was told four years after the two year BRP factory warranty ended, so it should have been six years total. When I looked up the name for you I saw that it was from purchase date. Apparently I missed that one small detail, and am planning to stop by, and give them a thing or two. Of course on the bright side, if it runs concurrent/replaces the factory it frees me up to go to Pirate.

He must have bought the Rider's Advantage warranty, because that is around what they quoted me on a 2014 RTL also. For 5 years. Actually I have what PitBull gave me right here: 2yr BRP $746, and 5yr RA $899.
I have a toll free number for Rider's Advantage Care Plus Warranty. It is 888-338-0389 There is a rep somewhere in Mo. that covers quite a few states, but can't find her number. I would call the 888 number and try to get your transfer expedited ASAP.

Did you have a chance to compare the terms of each (BEST vs Rider's Advantage)? Companies are in business to make money so there has to be some trade-off in coverage for the RA to be priced so much lower than BEST.

I finally heard back from Pitbull's F&I manager, who finally heard back from Rider's Advantage rep with the warranty transfer form needed to complete this transaction. I hope it's not this difficult to work with Rider's Advantage if I ever need to submit a claim under the contract.

Has anyone here got any real-world experience with Rider's Advantage as far as getting claims paid? That could be a major factor in deciding whether to buy their coverage on my other RT-L when it's up for renewal next year. Thanks
