• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Extended warranty question

I purchased my 2014 Rt just over a week ago, and love it so far. I bought the bike online, so I did not get an extended warranty at that time. Is there a way, or place that I can look into getting an extended warranty, or is there a need for such a thing? I am not familiar with this bike, but I don't want to end up with a large repair bill futher down the road. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can get the BEST warranty anytime up to the last day of the BRP warranty. Most of us get the two year BEST warranty. You can get it on line or at a dealer.

I would wait until you get further into the original warranty period before you move on an extension. As long as you negotiate the extended warranty a few months prior to the expiration of the factory one. Why let someone else hold your money for a couple of years?

Bert's Mega Mall has excellent prices but I think you will find if you tell your local dealer the best price you have been quoted they will most likely match the price. Even if the local dealer is slightly higher (Under $25 or so) I would deal locally as it helps to support the cash flow of local dealers.

Thanks for the information guys. I will be waiting a little longer before getting the extended warranty. I am attempting to get a relationship with my local dealers, and hopefully one of them will work with me when time to purchase this. I have again contacted 3 of my local dealers for my first mod (adding fog lights to my RT). One gave me a price that was pretty steep for an out the door price. The 2nd. was even a little higher. After talking to them a bit, they reduced their price by $100 for the part. The third, kept me on hold for over 25 minutes, and then just hung up:cus:. I decided to go with the dealer that was willing to deal. I also talked to my motorcycle mechanic, and he knows the dealer and says that he knows the certified tech that is there. If they do me right, they have my business:thumbup:.

You should have a 2 + 2 warranty.

If you bought new just over a week ago, it should have come with an additional 24 month BEST warranty. It's a special going on through the end of November. Chek with your dealer. You may be surprised!

Let us know what you find.

Wow! That would be a good surprise. I bought if off ebay from one of the stores there, so I don't know if that will make a difference or not, but I will be checking.
Thanks,

:ohyea:I just received my paperwork from BRP about my extended warrenty. It goes from 9/25/14-9/25/18. Which means that I did get the 2 additional years to go along with the normal 2 years.:ohyea: Thank you guys for being on top of things. I have been a member of a lot of forums, but I must say, you guys really rock:bowdown:.

Is "Best" the best warrantee out there? I have to start shopping for an extended warrantee soon and I've heard of several of them. A couple more are RPM, McGraw and Protective. Best just sent me a 12 month additional extension on the manufacture's 2 year warrantee. :clap:Anyone out there have any advice on any of these warrantees? Thanks. :dontknow:

Just got the rear air bag and associated plumbing replaced on my 2012 RT. Out of factory warranty but covered under BEST extended warranty. Co-pay of $50. Good deal, I think. Can't even buy a decent supper for 2 for $50 here.

you will want to buy the BEST extended warranty. The 2 year BEST Extended warranty saved me a lot of money for two costly repairs Year 3 of ownership $2500.00 repair and year 4 $3500.00 repair.

Just traded the 2010 Spyder on a 2015 Spyder Rt and as early buy incentive comes with a 4year warranty. 2Years BRP and then 2 years BEST Warranty.
