Extended warranty question?

I traded in my 2 wheeler and cash on a new 09 and I specifically said NO to the extended warranty. This week in the mail comes my BEST protection extended warranty card which includes emergency road service. I re-read my original contract to see if the dealer slipped it in without my knowledge and I dont see it. Anyone have any ideas what is going on here?

Check your paper work again and check with the dealer. I doubt you got it for nothing. I am happy I purchased it.

. . . . someone made a mistake. Most likely, the dealer put the wrong VIN and buyer information on a Best Application ( you have someone elses warranty ). It could have been included on the Sypder ( not likely ). You could be the lucky (very lucky) 10,000th Spyder Sale ( ha ha ha )

Call the dealer. If they don't know or do nothing, call Best. Basically get it cleared up, you don't want to end up counting on something that won't be there if you need it. Who knows, Best may make an offer to you that you end up going for.

If you purchased within the recent incentive period you got a extra year of warranty. I believe this is done by providing a one year BEST warranty in addition to the standard two years.

NancyToys and other members,, I beleive this was for the 08 models only and no 09's quilified.. Your best source of information is BRP though,, I'd call them and ask the questions.. They would know more then the dealer on this, I'm fighting this one as we speak.. Long story and when I have more time I will explain...

PS: Bottom line is I purchased an 08 about 6 months ago and thought I had a extra year of BEST and I called BRP and NOPE.. According to there records I DO NOT.. The dealer is currently working on it.. I plan on riding up there tomorrow and go FACE to FACE with them.. But when I bought it that was one of the reason's I went with an 08 NEW instead of an 09 cause of the extra promotional year of warrenty.. Maybe you got my extra year who know, ha ha..

they are giving a free extended warr. now.The new has worn off.
My can-am atv I got a big deal and they threw in a free 3.5 year best warr.that was can-am special.not my dealer

We just got a new 09 SE5 today. It most definitely is included in the 2 + 1 yr warranty promotion - with roadside assist. No extra charge.

We also got about $1000 in accessories/installation and a coupon for the upgraded 6 spoke wheels from doing the test ride (along with a spiffy ball cap).

One dealer tried to tell us that it was only a 1 yr warranty - but the website and the dealer we bought from said differently.

Maybe they are trying to ged rid of the 09's and make room for the 2010, I guess this is possible since it's near the end of the year.. Well there you go folks you have it..
