• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Let me think....................

Okay! To me, the Spyder sounds like a sewing machine with the stock pipe. And, I kinda like it. :)

Some folks may want more sound (for example, a HD "potato-potato" sound which, BTW, isn't going to happen... maybe Ducati, but not HD).

Some may want more performance. BUT...very few pipes provide significant performance improvements without additional mods to the air intake and fuel injection systems. In most cases, louder is perceived as faster.

Some may just want to be different (like me). I've used the stock, Micron, Supertrapp, Hindle, and Yahama Warrior pipes. I like the Warrior best even though it is very quiet and looks like a chrome 155mm Howitzer hanging back there.

If 100 folks answer, you'll have 100 different opinions. These are mine and I'm stickin' to 'em. :D

Same here with the Warrior, looks like belongs on the spyder. I also have the Micron whitch is too loud, and the stock is just butt ugly.

Okay.... (gotta ask), how much is the Warrior? :)

You can typically find take-offs for $75 or so... sometimes for free. Then the inlet needs to be cut-off and a 2.25" reducer welded on. With the reducer, a NMN 90* pipe can be used.

Or, after the cut, you could just weld on a 90* pipe as long as it has a 2.625" (without gasket) or 2.875" (with stock gasket) inlet to fit over the stock header connection.

I made dual hangers from 1/8" by 1" mild steel.

It is big! See my "Now mine..." thread for pics ... I think on page 3.

UPDATE: I just paid $100 for a black Warrior exhaust... from a Midnight Warrior. A little more expensive as the Midnight Warriors are a little more rare.

I think size wise it is close to the stock unit. But a little heavier. And the chrome really sets off the spyders looks. Oh I got it from a fellow spyder rider for $40.

Send a PM to lamonster. His friend had a warrior pipe with the 90 welded on it that he was thinking about selling. If he still has it, maybe you guys can work it ($ $ $) out.
