There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Exhaust Maintenance Questions...

Hey All,

I am looking for a new exhaust for the spyder. I have read the various threads here and have tried to listen to the numerous youtube videos comparing the sounds. From the videos I have narrowed it down to Micron, Two Brothers or Hindle. Several people have stated that the Micron is very loud so I may have to stick with the TBR or Hindle.

My question is maintenance related, the TBR website says the exhaust must be repacked every 10-15 hours. If you average 30 miles per hour, thats a repack every 450 miles! I am new here but that sounds crazy! Do all the aftermarket pipes require that much maintence? I am not interested in Carbon Fiber or Titanium, just Stainless or Aluminum as I understand the others require additional maintenance.

Thanks for all the help.

We sell all of these but the Hindle so I can't speak as to it. :dontknow:

By far and away the Two Bro's systems we sell are the loudest systems, both in the single and dual kits.

The Micron is the easiest system to repack as it has and easy to remove baffle system requiring only one screw to be removed rather than drilling any rivets.

I checked my Micron after about 2500 miles to see how things were doing inside, I found the packing had slip rearward a bit but was still in fine condition. I just repositioned it, wired it in placed and all is good.

I can't speak for maintenance on the other brands yet? We have not run but a few miles on the Two Bro's dual system on our SE5 so we have not had to open it up yet?

However, I do know that when we do have to service it will be a much more involved and time consuming procedure for sure as all the rivets have to be drilled out then replaced. Also with the dual system everything is times 2, twice the time and twice the expense for repacking kits.

Don't get me wrong the Two Bro's twins are neat looking, but on my SM5 I could run anything we sell, and I still love my Micron the best for sound, fit, looks and ease of maintenance.

No maintenance with the hindle...it's made for the Spyder specifically. I wouldn't get anything else...now, that's me...

NMN sells a lot of other popular options...there is likely an exhaust for whatever you like...

For the record, since you're new here, NMN (No Magic Neon) is 100% legit and stands behind all the products he sells. I have bought a lot of his lighting packages and they are first rate in every way.

I'll likely buy more products from him going forward as it's a safe venture...he'll assist you with whatever you want/need.

So, back to the ole exhaust issue...if you want a hindle for $430.00 delivered, I have a great source from a Can-Am dealer...if you go with anything else, NMN is the way to go...

Thank you for the info. Too bad about the TBR pipes. I guess it boils down to the Micron from NMN and the Hindle then.

Thanks again.
