• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Exhaust flex joints...

ataDude

Mod Maniac
... I'm getting ready to build a new TWO SIDED exhaust system from the headers down using some super-secret, stock Japanese superbike mufflers. I won't be welding too much on these as they are aluminum and titanium (which match my knee and pelvis hardware). :D

I'm thinking of eliminating the slip-joint gaskets (the ones we lose) and replacing with stainless flex joints.

Any comments? Experiences? Flex joint brands which are good?

I just can't turn loose of the exhaust thingy. It's an illness. :yikes:

Hopefully it sees the correct exhaust flow vs rpm/throttle position
.

Or, I can always just install it in one down-pipe for the input. There's several motors that do this. Or, I can even install the Evoluzione O2 sensor eliminator, which I also have "in stock".

In any case, I'm still at square one. The pipes arrived yesterday... damaged by FedX. eBay seller is cooperating, though. :yikes:

Thanks for the thoughts, Trouble Maker #1!

Shameless bump for comments on these:

I'm certainly curious to see how they work out for you. I don't relish the thought of having to change exhaust gaskets every 4,000 to 6,000 miles.

Changing exhaust gaskets every 4000-6000 miles wouldn't be too bad as long as the location was where you could do it on the fly.. (ie: not remove panels, easy to get to, maybe even while riding!!!!!;))

Just kidding on the while riding comment.. I think it will work. Plus look great!!
